Meet The Doctors - Ackerman & Associates

Dr. Jeffrey Ackerman
Dr. Ackerman started this practice in 1978 after extensive advanced training through a dental resident program at Rush Presbyterian Saint Lukes Medical Center in Chicago, a military tour of duty. He has also completed more than 3000 hours of continuing education after his graduation from Ohio State University. He has achieved the distinct honor of a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, a level achieved by fewer than 1% of all practicing dentists.
Dr. Ackerman resides with his wife Donna in Fairfax, where he has been a longtime resident as well as active in the Northern Virginia community inclusive of volunteer work and education. Dr. Ackerman has appreciated his travels over the years and the luxuries that he has been blessed with in life. As a result of this, he feels a great need to give back to not only the local community but those in need overseas, consequently Dr Ackerman has been a volunteer dentist with Operation Smile. Donna also has been a long time resident in the D.C. area and currently works as a real estate agent for the Virginia and Maryland area serving both buyers and sellers (as the loving husband that he is, Dr. Ackerman highly recommends her).
Dr. Ackerman's oldest daughter, Leah, is a proud mother to his two grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and is the Director of Sales and Marketing for SplitOne Technologies in beautiful Scottsdale, AZ. As for his grandchildren; Evan is nine and attends the prestigious BASIS school in Arizona. He enjoys playing the guitar and rugby and visiting his grandpa as much as possible. Ashley is two and currently enjoys throwing tantrums, saying "no" and refusing to go to sleep at her bed time. His second eldest daughter, Robyn, is a sophomore at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond where she plans to major in Psychology. His youngest and last to leave the nest is Morgan who will be attending Arizona State University with plans of discovering which is hotter, the surface of the sun or Arizona. As a very active young woman, Morgan has participated in both Field Hockey and managing the boys' basketball team at Robinson High School.
Dr. Ackerman has a wide range of outside interests including Archaeology, he has participated in digs in Africa and Turkey. He enjoys art, he is amazing at both paint and sketch, photography, and pottery. Both he and his daughters have trained in karate achieving black belt status, and he plays golf, tennis, and racquetball when time allows. Dr. Ackerman also enjoys traveling to see his daughters, discovering new adventures with his lovely wife Donna and spending time with his extended family inclusive of Donna's beautiful children and grandchildren. Dr. Ackerman's greatest joy is his family as well as the family that he has created within his practice and with his staff. He is quite proud to spend each and every day with his staff and patients and to his wife and children's dismay, may never retire from the career that he loves so much.
